And that the wheels of their minds are permanently rusted into place. I try to look at this kind of misplaced hatred as a friendly warning that anything I hear from such a person is suspect. They love to make fun of entirely innocuous things like the examples above and declare the abominable shittiness of something entirely innocuous. People love to join the bandwagon, and whenever they get a chance to prove that they belong with other bandwagoners, they feel validated. People used to delight in hating on a drink called Zima. If you so much as mention Coldplay, someone will happily pipe up to say how vile they are. If you mention pizza toppings, someone will have to chime in with hate for pineapple. If the subject is cookies, someone will invariably mention how disgusting oatmeal raisin cookies are. It's one of those things people love to bandwagon. But I do know that people love to talk shit about oatmeal raisin. I don't know how many oatmeal raisin cookies a store sells in comparison to their chocolate chip sales. Mostly they seem to be mad at how available oatmeal raisin cookies are, and infer that availability equals popularity. Well a lot of people are getting angry about your opinion so I guess it's unpopular. Race, Religion, LGBTQ, Meta, Politics, Parenting/Family issues.
